Child & Youth Program (CYP)


New Cumberland’s, Child and Youth Program (CYP) supports the DLA Family Covenant by reducing the conflict between an employee’s (military, DoD civilian, or government contractor) mission requirements and his or her parental responsibilities.
CYP offers the following programs and services:

  • Child Development Center (CDC)
  • Family Child Care
  • School Age Services (SAS)
  • Youth Services (YS)
  • Central Registration
  • Parent Education
  • Volunteer Program
  • Resource and Referral
  • Babysitting Training
  • Parent Advocacy Council (PAC)

CYP participates in the USDA food program. All meals served under the Child and Adult Care Food Program are served at no additional charge regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.

Parent Central Registration

CYP Parent Central Registration can assist with CYP enrollment, resources and referrals. All Central Registration will be by appointment only; however, a request for care (DD form 2606.pdf) may be downloaded and dropped off at the CYP front desk, J Ave., Bldg. 255, throughout the business day. Facility tours may be requested by contacting the CYP front desk at (717) 770-7360. To make an appointment with Parent Central Registration, please call (717) 770-4239. 

Eligibility Statements

Eligible CYP patrons include:

  • Active duty military personnel.
  • DOD civilian personnel paid from both APF and NAF.
  • Reservists on active duty or inactive duty training status.
  • DOD contractors employed at Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna or tenant activities on site.
